The history of TridonicAtco is the history of its products. Curiosity and inventiveness have made the company great. The company has been involved in lighting for around 50 years. The story started in 1956 with the development of compact magnetic ballasts.
In 1978 the first electronic control gear for flicker free economic operation of fluorescent lamps was launched, and ECGs have been developed and improved ever since. Digital dimmable control gear was launched in 1991, a technical innovation that is still paving the way forwards, for example as the basis for DALI and winDIM@net solutions – yet another milestone on the lighting market from TridonicAtco.
New developments are introduced not as replacements for existing equipment but as supplements, so that different requirements and applications can be covered.
