Energy saving road lighting for Century Avenue
When new road lighting was installed at Century Avenue in the Tianjin Grand Harbor area, key criteria for the project were energy efficiency and the ongoing cost of ownership. In order to address these issues, the Tianjin Grand Harbor Power Supply Bureau selected TridonicAtco’s ZRM U6M digital power switches to control the 122 sets of road lighting.

Energy-efficient lighting system for Heathrow’s Terminal 5
The lighting system designed by Andromeda Telematics for the new Terminal 5 at London Heathrow airport is the world’s largest controlled lighting control system. 120,000 light fittings with DALI ballasts combined with 2,600 motion sensors provide energy-saving lighting. And the emergency lighting system has also broken records. It is the world’s largest single DALI emergency lighting control system.

City Link
Light provides safety
The Melbourne City Link, a privately funded project involving investments of 2 billion Australian dollars, will improve the traffic situation in and around the centre of the capital city of the Australian federal state of Victoria, considerably. The toll link between the three main arterial roads has been designed as a fully automated road network – one of the first in the world – which does not rely on toll points. The electronic payment system allows drivers to use the motorways without having to slow down or stop, thus ensuring a constant flow of traffic.

After seven months of construction, it was ready: On 15th March 2000 the Princess Marie-Astrid from Lux-Werft und Schiffahrt GmbH in Mondorf am Rhein was handed over to its new owner, Entente Touristique de la Mosel Luxembourgeoise asbl. This imposing 60 m long and 11.20 m wide ship was presented with the same glamour as a 5-star hotel: marble floors and stairs to the upper deck, games decks, exclusive luminaires, Italian tiles in the wet rooms, a kitchen bright with stainless steel.
